It doesnt EVER fully terminate when you close the program, and has a major memory leak. I'm 95% sure we are all being hacked through a sophisticated attacker through Gameguard. Been getting slow frames/lag since update so I tried verifying files. once game is done being verified, it says there's 2 that fail to validate.

Never validate unless the game literally wont run at all. Crashes happen, but validating takes time and can corrupt the files. I have crashed a few times but never validate them, I just reload and it seems to work for awhile. I was wondering if validating after installing is what was screwing the pooch. Nevertheless I think i do have MW2 FIXED now!
Right-click on the MW2 installation in your Steam game library and select Properties. From there, go to the Local Files tab and select the option to verify game files. Doing this will redownload the missing or corrupted files. After that, if you are still having this problem, you need to uninstall and reinstall the game.
