Searched the forums, but haven’t seen any recent updates on the entry experience into SXM. We received our pre-approvals, as the 3 of us are fully vaxxed and boosted. We’re traveling with our young son so are trying to set expectations/ stay ahead of the joys of airport logistics.

Per Delta's website they start flying to SXM July 2nd. We don't know how it will be in SXM, or if we want to spend $$$$ if it's going to be stressful. That doesn't sound like a good vacation. I am sure they do random checks and if they have reason to suspect drugs or weapons, but they don't really care if you bring in a pair of NIkes for a friend on the island. AXA will quiz you a lot about stuff in your luggage, even if they don't open it.
