Hilton Waikoloa a horrible experience. The ocean tower is a horrible place to take a family for a vacation. The pools were shut down for more that half of the vacation time (8 days). Water was shut down for a night. There were cockroaches in the room bringing big questions about the cleanliness and hygiene of the place. Hapuna Beach makes many "Top Beaches" lists, you won't see Anaeho'omalu Bay on those lists (or the Waikoloa Lagoon). The Westin Hapuna recently underwent a major renovation (when Westin bought it, not sure when that happened).
