Blinking orange light on dell computer.
I am having dell Inspiron 3576. While powering up in the battery LED indicator, it blinks 2 Amber followed by 5 white. Earlier it was 2 Amber followed by 4 white but after performing rtc reset as advised by the dell support it changes to 5 white. So what could be the problem and how can I resolve it?

Try reseating the memory and/or only use one memory module and see if that makes any difference. May be the (bad) luck that the replacement went bad. If the replacement motherboard went bad maybe the power supply is suspect. A blinking power light (no code) generally is a power supply issue.

The jumper pins seem to be 2 empty pins on a small black block near sodimm memory slots. Move the blue jumper in proximity to those two empty pins for 5-10 sec. then move blue jumper back where it was. Make sure you had replaced dead CMOs battery w a brand new one before this step. July 1st, 2020 22:00. Solid orange light typically means bad MB, so it's possible it's the CPU. Blinking orange would mean bad PSU. As fun as it is to do everything at once, a good rule of thumb is to install one piece at a time and see if PC works. Back off one piece at a time and see if that gets it working again.
