When I moved into my current home about 7 years ago I found an old rotary phone in the basement. When I had my Internet, phone, and cable set up by Xfinity, the tech tried to hook the phone up so that it could still be used as a house phone. Of course, he didn't spend all day working on it, but he couldn't get it to work.
