I am curious owning a 2021 L5P myself if anyone has had any serious issues with this engine. In doing research I find problems like NOX Sensors, DEF heaters / tanks, and injector electrical plugs, but that is about it. 2018 would be an L5P.. L5P Oil Pressure issue. 2019 3500HD 125k miles. I tow a lot with a lot of weight. Last trip low oil pressure warning came up. Pressure running about 28 psi. Pulled over and checked levels, all fine. Good thing I was close to home and pressure stayed 28 or more the whole way. Now at 600 rpm running 15 psi and 90 psi at 3k rpm.

I would never consider a LML after owning a L5P. $1500 to delete a Cummins or LML. $7,000 to delete an L5P. $3,000 to convert from a CP4 to CP3 on the LML. $700+ to level the GMC/Chevy compared to $100 to level the Ram. Personally, I would never consider long-term ownership of a modern diesel with emissions intact.

2021 GMC 3500 SLE 27k miles. Not sure I should feel happy it was under warranty but originally took the truck into GMC dealer for what sounded like a boost leak. No codes, no other symptoms other than using 7 gallons of DEF in 2800 miles. Which seems excessive for not towing. Hold the brake add trottle and can hear loud hiss.
