The ECM monitors the circuit for continuity when the intake heater isn't on as the heater will read an almost dead short to ground, and then it reads 12 volts + when the realy is on. You could probably use a resistor and make it act as the heater to get rid of the codes without EFILIVE.

The remote start is disabled any time the check engine light is on. The cycling is normal I think until the truck warms up. 07 6.7L Air Intake Heater - to delete or not to delete.
