Answer 1 of 7: The 500 is on my bucket list so we are a planning a trip to the race in 2022. I am looking for some tips. Specifically: 1. Where to sit. We are looking at the seat map and the Pit Road terrace looks like a good spot. Where is a good section... Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Indianapolis 500 turn: Pit Road. Seats in this section have seat backs. Not bench seating. Pit Road Terrace. suites, and flagman stand were built along with a road course that ran inside the infield and connected to the oval track. Metal and glass make up the rest of the tower.The 2014 Indianapolis 500 winner led a race-high 52 laps, and outside of pit stops never ran lower than second.
