2003 Sorento, Water is leaking in the car on the passenger side top front corner. Any ideas as to the problem please? 5 Answers. XS 4wd. Water is found in the top corner of the roof, down the panel to the left of the windowscreen and down into the carpet. This is our first sorento so we would like to know the likely causes.

The water on the Passenger side FLoor can be caused by several systems. There is a "Drain Hose" behind the Carpet that allows the AC Condensation to drip out under the vehicle. If it's clogged or come off it will leak onto the floor. Additionally if the vehicle has a Sunroof, the system uses "Drain Hoses" and there are 4 of them.
