Family of 4, daughters are 12 and 9. We came from a minivan to our RAV so there was a slight change for everyone due to reduce space. We now pack less for everyday use, but we are ok with that. We’ll be taking our RAV and popup trailer for a month long road trip from WA -> OR -> ID -> WY -> SD -> MN -> ND -> MT -> ID -> WA. Go with the corrolla. RAV4 Hybrid. It's physically shorter by a couple of inches front to back than the Corolla, which makes maneuvering in the city easier. The suspension will handle bad roads better than the Corolla. But, this 2gr-fe on that small compact SUV feels way faster than anything else I've driven recently. I still don't know why the 2gr-fe in other Lexus/Toyota ... The cost difference between Hybrid Limited and Prime is around $10,000. For this money you can purchase 2500 gallons. (assume $4/gallon). You would need to drive the Prime for 100,000miles (@40 mpg) before amortizing the investment. However the Hybrid is noisy with a Poor quality passenger seat. RX350h >> RAV4 I like the RAV4 hybrid. I think it's a great car but the RX is so much more nicer. Especially if you're going to have it for 10 years, might as well have it a nicer 10 years. Performance-wise, they're similar. Gas mileage, the RAV4 hybrid is ~10% better but the RX350h is still pretty frugal.

I find Subaru's Eyesight system better than the TSS in some regards, but the Forester doesn't have lane centering like the RAV4. It's really a personal preference thing between these two for me.
