Devil in the shade. Take the gun and Pull back the slide and start drying firing it. Then Push the slide forward while dry firing it a number of times. This should work. Also do the same procedure with a mag in. Keep trying this and it should release. This is a common issue. The First Round Fired is the most critical.

Repeat. it could be the round stuck that's preventing the slide from moving. If you can press on the extractor (releasing case) while pulling the slide back, you may get it to move. Then it'll be easy to stick a dowel down the barrel and pound it out.

It seems like the recoil spring pops out of the spot it sits on the barrel when I push the slide back to put the takedown pin back in.
