Over ten years ago I bought a 795 for about $100. I was stunned by how accurate it was. I bought a couple other Marlin 60s at that time but they couldn't compete with this 795 for accuracy. ... IIRC, I tapped the pin out from left side, the placed barrel in vise (well protected) and taped front of receiver and tapped with rubber ...
