The Nowthen Threshing Show is a three day event that takes place annually on the third full weekend (Friday through Sunday) in August. Guests can watch history happen by watching corn chopping, blacksmithing, grain threshing, and sawmill demonstrations, or experience historic culture by wandering through the old restored school, church, log buildings, and train depot on the grounds.The depot was acquired by the Nowthen Historical Power Association in the fall of 2001, and was moved to a temporary site at the Nowthen Threshing Show grounds on November 23, 2001. No, all camping is on a first come, first serve basis. What does it cost to camp during the show? There is no cost to camp. But we do ask for a $10 donation to the organization for the weekend to support the camping area. Do the camp grounds have electricity or other amenities?
