Yes it does. You can sit with the screen protector unchamged like this but eventually it will get worse. No reason to get worried. But a reason to be annoyed to be honest. Had mine replaced twice now by Samsung (Fold 3) after 6 months each. The one i have on now is holding strong. If it happens again I will just take it off and live without it.
I saw that Samsung directly recommended somewhere to use a piece of eight and a half by 11 crisp computer paper and gently lever it underneath the edge and I was like there's no way that's going to work but sure enough you can carefully slide the corner of the paper underneath the corner edge of the protector and lift it up enough to gently begin to peel it off carefully worked well for me

I already ordered a new one made with hidrogel, but having used it for some hours now, I'm impressed by how well this thing looks and fells without the protection. The only issue with my Z Fold 3 is the inner screen protector creasing (see photo). I'm afraid Samsung will reject the full trade-in price due to how bad it looks. I'm wondering if I should just send the phone as-is or remove the screen protector at my own risk (the phone is out of warranty for free replacement).
