The only way to mod the Soma is crits. Anything else will fail miserably. As for the other weapons, the Burston Prime is a status weapon with a burst-fire mechanic. It also has a syndicate mod that gives it more fire-rate. The Braton Primes scales pretty well since it has a higher status chance than all the weapons you listed.
