My I751 was transferred twice within a couple of days during the processing of my N400. I think the first was officially to the national benefits center. The 2nd, I assume, was to the local field office. Looking at the dates - the transfer of the i751 to the field office happened before the date of the notice that the n400 interview was scheduled.
