Madden does a poor job modeling this. They have practice injuries but they are very rare. So while it is unrealistic to have half a dozen players leave the game, announced on the TV broadcast, during gameday, it's a trade off. Because to me the point of even having injuries in a game like Madden is to add the challenge of requiring roster depth.
