Jun 11, 2023 · 2950 Won’t Steer. Hi, German-built 2950 has hard, jerky steering and will keep moving either way. I have the steering control out of the dash and I’m not certain how to move forward. The Deere unit is too dear; there are aftermarket units all over the internet, likely Chinese or Turkish, and they don’t come with the bolt-on valve body.

Aug 7, 2016. #1. Your having a voltage drop in the start circuit. If it starts when you jump across the starter solenoid than the starter is OK. I do not think there is a relay in the factory circuit on the JD 2950. JD made a relay KIT for many of the tractors.I'm thinking that I may have a ground problem somewhere because when you turn the key off the radio loses its settings. I have replaced the battery, rebuilt the starter, replaced the starter solenoid and taken this tractor apart trying to find a bad wire. ...
