It's not a strict start/end date. There's a fairly realistic climate system built into the game. That said, Summer is roughly Jun-Aug, Autumn is Sep-Nov, Winter is Dec-Feb, and Spring is Mar-May. At 4 months you lose panic almost instantly when you get away from your panic source. But you get panicked just the same. Aug 10, 2017 · The year doesn't matter much, but the month does. If you set it to start in October, Winter is gonna get you pretty quickly. But if you set it in March you have almost a full year to prepare and stock up for the winter time. Good point.
