the questbridge match is definitely very tricky and only like 24% of finalists matched this year but i will say that of that 24%, i saw that 77% of people who matched matched to their top 4 schools. stanford was my #1, and most of the other qb matches also similarly matched to their top 4. if you don't match, there's still questbridge regular ... First of all, while being very low income does help your application a lot, it's not technically necessary. I've heard of kids with family incomes of over $200k a year getting matched. You'd have to have an outstanding application otherwise, but it's possible. Secondly, assets aren't as big of a deal as income in my experience.
