Oftentimes mods will need specific steps taken to uninstall without crashing the game on loadup. For example, once you add modded gear to the game, you can't uninstall that mod or else the game won't know what to do ...

The only workaround I found so far is to download LSlib, extract the mod in question, remove every file except the "meta.lsx" file, then repack and replace the old mod with this now empty mod. When I boot up the game no mods load, then when I open bg3mm again all my active mods are inactive again. I already deleted all my mods from the script extender and the extender itself and reinstalled the game and such to see if i can just get regular mods to work, and I cannot. LL's BG3 mod manager is the best one. All mods work and it's the easiest installation. Just download the newest updates to the mods. put it in the Documents/LarianStudios/Baldur's Gate 3 folder, Open the Mod Manager, and export. If anyone really wants it I can make a Tiktok demo on installation if anyone is really having issues.

I currently have patch 5 of BG3 on my computer (patch 6 broke my mods when it first came out so I went to rollback to patch 5). Have been playing the game fine on patch 5 for a week or so and disabled updates from steam by being offline. Today, script extender says "no extender version found for game version 4.44.94.476". Tools -> Download & Extract SE. I did it 30m ago, mods are working, although it is showing 28/10 version. Maybe Norbyte fixed compatibility first and will roll out docs later idk, but it works nonetheless. Bear in mind, this only worked for lag issues in act 1 and 2, act 3 is still chugging heavily and I suspect will need an actual official fix from Larian.
