Nov 2, 2023 · Updated the app, deleted and reinstalled the app 3 times, updated Roku tv software 2 times, restarted the tv from settings 2 times, my dad was upstairs on the phone with Xfinity which I assume entailed restarting the modem and other useless troubleshooting steps that Xfinity will walk everyone through, and still not working. The app opens and then takes me to main screen but then closes and goes back to Roku Home Screen. Deleted and reinstalled twice. Unplugged Roku. Deleted App Added App Back Signed In Verified Xfinity Wi-Fi Connection Signed In Again. Repeated these steps multiple times.
You may also try the following steps: (1) Remove the Xfinity streaming app from your Roku device. (2) If using a separate router, disconnect your router from your cable modem. Reboot the modem. (3) Reconnect your router to your modem once the modem fully reboots and shows that it is connected to the internet.
