Hello. Our 2011 Outback Premium 2.5i driver side front window isn’t going down. My wife did get something caught in it, but it worked after that. The other 3 front door driver’s window switches work. I checked the #3 fuse and it appears to be ok. There was no fuse in the 27 spot. I’m not sure if there was supposed to be. Continue pulling up the switch for approximately 1 second after the window is closed completely. Try rolling all windows up then go to each individual door and hold the switch up for 5 seconds. The front passenger window only rolls up, but it does not roll down. I've ruled out the following: 1) Front passenger window switch - it's fine as I tried it by connecting to the rear door. 2) Motor/regulator - I bought a brand new motor / regulator. However, it would only roll up but not down when installed on front passenger door.
Roll the window down from the passenger side with its button and hold it down once all the way down for 3 seconds or so. Next roll it back up and again hold it up for 3 seconds or so. This resets/programs the window then the driver side button should work.

Next, I stop the engine. turn back to ON without starting, and try again. The re-calibration / reset fails to work again. The window always reverses and goes to the half-up position. Finally, I open and close the passenger door and try again. Now the reset works and the passenger window again works from passenger side or driver side buttons.

No taking apart anything or window lube required. Turn on your engine, then roll down your passenger side front window all the way and continue holding down the switch for over 5 seconds. Then immediately roll it all the way up and once it closes, hold it again for 5 seconds. That should do it.
