WaW had less weapons to defend yourself with, making the gameplay hardest. BO1 had harder maps, making the locations hardest. Cold War has zombies being much more difficult to kill in later rounds, making the enemies the hardest. Different games have different reasons for being the hardest, you can’t narrow it down to just a single game.

19 Hardest: TranZit. TranZit is not only one of the hardest Zombies maps, but it's an awful map to boot. Everything that TranZit does exists to be inconvenient. The fog, fire, and Denizens make it incredibly hard to move around the map without the use of the bus.

The only really difficult maps are GK and the waw maps for high rounds. The waw maps are pretty easy on earlier rounds but since there's no pap they are more difficult. The rest of the maps are simple and easy to high round forever with double pap and op wonder weapons and specialists. Getting into Black Ops 4, this is the 2nd hardest easter egg on my list. This map requires skilled zombie players with a decent map knowledge. After watching Tutorials that can take up to 50 minutes, with multiple steps that you have to wright down, parts you have to collect and challenges that need to be done.
