The bow being so riser heavy to absorb hand shock, limits Mathews to axle or the bow will weigh way over everyone else's bows. So Mathews cut their limbs to stubs as much as they could to cut back on limb vibration,,,,very good move ! One was a hoyt rx3 because it was a leftover and i was getting a $1500 bow for $900. That thing has a super sweet draw cycle in my opinion but i didnt shoot it against a mathews. Mathews Halon 32-5 (2017): 338.5 FPS. Mathews Halon 32-5 Ackerman + Gruber. I’ve shot Mathews bows for a lot of years and the Halon series was a big-time change of pace for the creators of the SoloCam. For starters, it wasn’t a solo-cam system. The bow is available in 25- to 30-inch draw lengths (including half-sizes) and 40- to 80-pound draw weights. Misses: This Monster snarls a bit, with 74.22 m/s2 of vibration. The transferrable warranty on the Elite would be important to a lot of folks. Both great bows! I would probably choose an Elite 35 for hunting and a Halon for 3D!

I dont understand why people say mathews are so expensive. All major bow companies are priced the same for the most part. All flagship bows are 900+ with hoyt having a 1400 dollar bow. Mission bows are their mid priced bows. I would see your point if mathews bows were always more expensive then the competitors but they just arent.
