In this video I show how to re-install (and by virtue of that, how to remove it) the mowing deck on a Husqvarna LGT2554 riding lawn mower.
Step 3: Remove the old belts. Using a socket wrench, loosen the bolts that secure the belt guards in place. Carefully remove the guards to access the belts. Using pliers, release the tension on the belts by pulling on the idler pulley.
