First, please click on the link to view the pdf file and, the TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) repair information & the Lane Keep Assist system components diagram), I would want to inspect the connector, as mentioned in TSB, in the rearview mirror. I prefer it off as well. What I found was that if you go through the different selections with the right-side scroll wheel on the steering wheel, there is a menu that shows all the different "safety" features like lane assist, emergency braking, and blind-spot awareness.
