I currently have a 2023 Outlander PHEV and it's been really good so far (granted I've only put about 10k miles on it). It's also important to note that the current gen Outlander is based on the Nissan Rouge and uses a Nissan engine and transmission. The PHEV is an exception though it still uses a Mitsubishi powertrain and is built in Japan.

(My review/thoughts) First things first, I have to say I didn't expect this Show to catch my interest at all since my enjoynment of melo-dramatic romances reaches exactly 0. So when my friends described this Show as a ''historical romance'' to me my first reaction was ''eh''. In the prior season when Jamie is a fugitive after Culloden, there is an episode where Jenny is having a baby and Jamie goes in the house to see the baby. He sees a giant slash on their family tapestry hanging in that spot, and asks who did it. Jenny tells him the English did it during one of their searches for him. Starring Jim Caviezel (Last Temptation of Christ) and with a big role from John Hurt (Alien), the cast is great. The production values are fantastic. There's some plot holes and some flaws, but nothing major. The movie plays like a mashup of Predator/13th Warrior/Beowulf. It's got a horror element to it, to earn the R rating, but nothing over ... My favorite book series. I wasn't really a big fan of fictional books until I stumbled on to this series. Diana is an extremely intelligent woman and this shows through in her writing. It's a solid show that gets weaker over time. You're criticisms are accurate but it happens. But odd to me rape being prominent is impossible to watch like violent mass murder in every episode isn't a norm for tv. Never really felt the need to treat it differently than other fucked up shit on TV.
