The benefit of the Nomad over the Sandman is weight savings and length, but as soon as you add Keymo to the Nomad, you have a can that weighs as much as a Sandman but isnt built as strong. You need to look at Griffin Plan A or YHM Kurz. They have useable muzzle devices and are shorter, lighter, and cheaper than Keymo.

I like the weight savings and deadnuts simplicity of the spin-it-on-hand-tight of Xeno vs Keymo. Rearden has more thread pitch and brake/hider options and seems to be a fan favorite. I just prefer the left hand threads of Xeno.

Keymo or Xeno - Silencer Mounting Decision. Ok. The above is a PWS M116 Mod 1. I don’t plan on running it suppressed all that often (that’s what SBRs are for). However, I have a few cans - Sandman K and S, Sierra 5 (Xeno) and Nomad TI (Xeno). I’m leaning Xeno for weight considerations - both the system itself as well as the cans themselves.
However, comes off wicked fast and there will be no chance of carbon locking. A sierra 5 with Keymo is kind of like a more modern RC2 in my opinion. About the same length, a tad lighter, and does sierra 5 stuff. Feb 5, 2023 · Xeno is absolutely both accuracy and precision minded. It has exceptional return-to-zero. KeyMo is is also a thread-to-taper interface, but with an added detent clutch to further resist the tapers from loosening under high vibration and thermal shift. The broad taper fitup means it'll work for precision shooting also.

The only thing I don't like about the Sierra is the keymo mount. It's not like the Sandman. You can remove the keymo if you rather have Xeno mount. I wish the keymo adapter was welded in the Sierra like the Sandman. I've had problems with my Nomad 30 while running keymo. And the adapter not breaking free from my muzzle break.I'd go with the Sierra5. My buddy has one and I was impressed with it.
